AI Teaching Kit

DOBOT AI Teaching Kit is an educational package for STEM educators to introduce children to the basics of AI and AI applications. Combining a variety of accessories, easy-to-use hardware and an intuitive drag-and-drop coding language based on Scratch, DOBOT AI Teaching Kit enables students to experience real-life AI scenarios, engages them into a world of cutting edge AI technologies through a series of hands-on activities and even offer them inspirations to design and build their own AI solutions. The kit also provides step-by-step tutorials online to help beginners start building right off the bat.

There are three types or stages of AI: Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI), Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), and Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI). Weak AI include Siri, Alexa, Alpha-Go, Sophia, etc. Strong or Deep AI means that machines are smart enough to make decision just like humans. ASI is currently a hypothetical situation as depicted in movies and science fiction books, like HBO’s Westworld or Steven Spielberg’s A.I. Artificial Intelligence.

AI is already here with us. Our financial institutions, legal institutions, media companies and insurance companies are all figuring out ways to use artificial intelligence to their advantage. From fraud detection to medical analysis, AI’s use cases are extensive. We have reason to believe that AI is making our world a better place.

Optical Character Recognition (OCR) | Automated Goods Entering Warehouse

OCR is widely used for automation and optimizing business processes. Originated in scanning printed, text-heavy books, OCR now is capable of reading texts as varied as license plates, advertisements, and road signs.

Common Applications of OCR:

Image Recognition | Automated Garbage Classification

A subset of artificial intelligence (AI), image recognition is already in widespread use in a wide array of settings from the high tech to the mundane. Such examples are your phone’s ability to detect faces to take better pictures, Facebook’s ability to auto-detect your friends and family, Google being able to search for something random like pictures of athletes wearing Beats headphones.

Speech Recognition | Smart Shopping Assistant

Speech recognition technologies such as Alexa, Cortana, Google Assistant and Siri are changing the way people interact with their devices, homes, cars, and jobs.

Industries that are already using speech recognition:

Face Recognition | Smart Shop Assistant

Face recognition has been around in one form or another since the 1960s and recent technological developments have led to a wide proliferation of this technology. Mostly applications of face recognition are making the world safer, smarter and more convenient.
